Supporting wildlife conservation and education in Africa is deeply important to us, particularly as the continent continues to grow and the urgency around biodiversity preservation comes sharply into focus. At the heart of this commitment is our belief in giving back to Africa—not only by celebrating and sustaining its extraordinary artisans and cultural heritage, but
by actively contributing to the protection of its wildlife and natural landscapes.
At Sourcing Africa, we view awareness and action as inseparable. Through thoughtful donations and partnerships, we support initiatives dedicated to animal welfare, biodiversity conservation, environmental education, and
long-term protection efforts. Our approach is rooted in respect for the land and its people, recognizing that true preservation is achieved through community-driven solutions and shared responsibility.
We proudly provide financial support to local organizations, and through our family-owned lodges, we are directly involved in safeguarding wilderness areas and maintaining protected ecosystems. Beyond preservation, we are committed to addressing the broader challenges—protecting vulnerable species, empowering communities living alongside wildlife, fostering education, and nurturing future leaders whose careers will contribute meaningfully to sustainability and conservation.
This work is not peripheral to who we are; it is fundamental to how we
engage with the world today. Giving back to a continent of such beauty and richness is both a privilege and a responsibility—one we carry with care, intention, and lasting commitment.
Our journeys immerse guests not only in craft and culture, but also in the living beauty of Africa’s wild spaces. By bringing travelers into these environments, we create deeper understanding and meaningful connection. This awareness leads to broader support—from individuals, donors, and future leaders—who will champion Africa’s wildlife, landscapes, and its people.
By providing avenues for direct impact, supporting programs in South Africa and across the continent that focus on wildlife protection, education, community uplift, and sustainable development,
we believe positive change begins with the people who wish to make it the most.
Africa’s future will be shaped by both its expanding cities and its irreplaceable wild places.
Our role—is to help illuminate both realities, creating journeys that protect the present and inspire action for the future.
Conservation isn’t just part of our trips,
it’s the reason they matter.
A baby rhino makes its way through lowland grass.
Rhinoceros numbers have plummeted in recent
years due to rampant poaching.
Across the globe, rhinos are fighting for survival. In South Africa, which hosts the world’s largest rhino population, numbers have declined by nearly 75% in just 10 years. The poaching crisis has reached a tipping point, driven by highly organized crime syndicates supplying the illegal rhino horn trade. The Singita Lowveld Trust (SLT) is at the forefront of rhino protection in the Greater Kruger region, the epicentre of poaching in Africa.
With nearly two decades of conservation work, the SLT has become a leader in championing biodiversity, sustainability, and community partnerships. Moving beyond traditional conservation approaches, the trust drives transformative and collaborative projects, inspiring positive social and environmental change.

Small and medium enterprises are the backbone of South Africa’s economy, contributing nearly 20% to the GDP and employing 47% of the workforce.
Millions of South Africans survive
by working in the informal sector or “the hustle economy,” striving to provide for their families. The Hustle Economy Programme founded and
led by Wild Impact in partnership with their collaborators, helps turn these ventures into sustainable businesses, creating pathways to independence and dignity.
The Hustle Economy Programme has established a proven track record in empowering individuals—particularly women and youth operating in the informal economy. Through a structured three-phase approach of capacity building, mentorship, and peer support, participants gain essential business skills and financial literacy, enabling them to build sustainable, community-focused enterprises.
